Georgetown Port Inc (GPI) has operated the Marine Terminal facility in Georgetown since 2012 and has been successful in solidifying the financial position of the Company. GPI believes in supporting the surrounding area and is launching a Grant Program to assist not for profit organizations in our community.

To receive a grant from GPI an organization must demonstrate they meet all of the following prerequisites:

  1. the organization must be registered as non-profit or not- for -profit and is located in the Town of Three Rivers.
  2. the organization must have a broad mandate servicing the residents within the Town of Three Rivers.
  3. the organization must have been operating for a minimum of 3 years within the Town.
  4. the organization must enhance social, cultural, environmental or recreational initiatives.

Organizations not meeting the above criteria will not be considered for funding.

Guiding Principles and Processes

To be considered for this program, organizations must submit a written application as per the attached Appendices by November 30, 2025.

Grant requests must outline the purpose and benefits of the proposed activity covered by the Grant.

The Grant must add value to the Community.

Financial statements for the previous year and an operational budget for the current year must accompany the proposal.

The maximum grant available is $25,000.

Prior to the issuance of the Grant, organizations will be required to indemnify GPI of any liability from the organizations actions and GPI will be named as an additional insured on the organizations insurance policy.

Within a year of receiving a Grant, organizations will provide a statement showing how the Grant was used.
