Georgetown Port Inc Welcome Heading

Georgetown Port Inc. maintains and develops facilities and services at the Georgetown Marine Terminal. Georgetown is located in Cardigan Bay at the mouth of the Brudenell and Montague Rivers, offering one of the best natural deep water harbours on the east coast of Canada.

Historically, Georgetown was laid out by Samuel Holland in 1764 to be the capital of Kings County on account of its fine harbour, easy access to shipping lanes, and one of the most ice-free harbours on P.E.I. The town is laid out on a magnetic north orientation and features broad streets with a large central gardens area and many historic properties.
